Conference date is known and Call for Proposals has begun
2016-08-08
Like in the previous year Linux Autumn will happen in Eagle's Nest Hucisko (Orle Gniazdo Hucisko) in Cracow-Częstochowa Jura upland. The date of the event will be the weekend of November 4th-6th and we hope that it will fit most of you. Conference itself is going through major changes this year.
First is the website, that is using responsive web design now, allowing to view it comfortable not only on PC display, but also on mobile devices and connected/smart TVs (which in most cases run on Linux). As a part of new website also registration will look a bit different and we ask you for understanding, as we are developing a new solution, that will make the organizing tasks for us easier in the near future.
Second change is the return to inviting interesting international guests to Linux Autumn (the last time we had international speakers was 4 years ago). Linux community without a doubt is a global one, so it's good to have a contact with people also from abroad.
Last and a huge change is the new main organizer. Well known to Linux Autumn attendees Dariusz Grzesista, president of PLUG, after organizing 10 editions of the event is taking a break, and passes the organization of Linux Autumn to another member of PLUG board - Filip Kłębczyk. Big thanks go here to Darek for his outstanding work in organizing previous editions. We hope that everyone will have a potential opportunity to thank him at the event this year.
As the website is launched, we are starting to acccept proposals for the agenda. More about that topic and submission form can be found here. This year also General Assembly of Polish Linux Users Group will happen. In addition to all that night activities will not only include retro-games area like in the last year, but also popular board games from rich collection, which for sure will help in better networking and socializing.
